Establishing a new aged care business

Understanding all the requirements of operating an aged care business is a complex matter.
Outcomes Plus has worked closely with new industry entrants to establish tailored business systems, documentation and policies/procedures for their new aged care operation.

* NEW * Home Care in a Box

A suite of documents and training for new home care providers

Outcomes Plus has introduced a new product called Home Care in a Box that helps new home care providers set-up their business and meet the accreditation requirements of the Aged Care Act.

In February 2017, the Commonwealth Government introduced major changes to the way in which aged care funding is allocated.

The impact of these changes was to free up the market for new and existing providers to compete directly for new home care clients.

As a result, we are now seeing a number of people wanting to enter the home care sector, who are unsure of the process for becoming an approved provider or how to go about setting up a successful business.

In response to this change, Outcomes Plus has been guiding organisations through every aspect of becoming an approved provider including the preparation of their Approved Provider application and Business Plan.

But the assistance we provide doesn’t stop there.

Outcomes Plus has introduced a new product called Home Care in a Box (“HCIB”). This is a complete set of documents that helps the new home care provider establish their business systems, and importantly, assists them to meet the accreditation requirements of the Aged Care Act. The HCIB package includes not only policies and procedures, but also a comprehensive set of other documents that will be needed from the first day of operation.

There are hundreds of standard documents available in our package, examples include:

– Client service schedules and care plans

– Home assessment reports

– Administration documents

– Management documents including staff and contractor handbooks

– Financial records and invoices

– Quality records such as action plans, audit and client tools, continuous improvement registers, risk management, OH&S and staff education records

– Client handbooks and service information/records

In addition, Outcomes Plus will provide practical support for new providers by taking them step by step through our documents and helping them understand what home care is all about. Please call us for a free no obligation discussion on how this product might benefit your new business.

Disclaimer: It is the responsibility of every organisation to familiarise themselves with the risks associated with operating a compliant home care business.  While every effort will be made to support your organisation through the approval process, Outcomes Plus does not guarantee the success of your home care business by only using the documents provided.
